A mutualistic relationship is when two organisms of different species “work together,” each benefiting from the relationship.
Take the two below:
The perfect combination that sent me around me in circles.
It’s like a match made in heaven right?
Food industry: “It’s ok you can burn it off later, it’s only 100 calories”
Fitness industry: “Come on, burn off all those calories, you can work harder than that.”
I was young, naive and didn’t know any better, and
i was doing what everyone else was doing.
The “everything in moderation” and “you can burn it off later” paradigm, had me overweight, unhealthy and down right unhappy for years.
It sounds perfect right, “you can have your cake, and eat it too”.
I am not negating energy and calories.
I am negating that if you have yo-yo dieted, experience daily fatigue and spent years trying to “move more, eat less” in an effort to lose weight and feel better….
I am standing strong that focusing only on calories, is a great way to join the merry-go-round.
How many years will you go to the gym, or walk out the door to exercise and yet still get no closer to your weight loss goals?
The quality of your food matters,
you can not expect to eat junk food and be at your best.
The quality of your training matters,
you can not expect to smash yourself and be at your best.
But yet that’s what so many of us are doing.
